Monument Valley, Utah
Perhaps you just want to get away from it all; well, Monument Valley is the place. Anyone who has seen films of the old west has probably seen Monument Valley. In the valley is a hotel/restaurant owned and operated by Navajo Indians (Monument Valley is a Navajo Indian Reservation). Guided tours, horseback riding, overnight camping, and hiking are all available. Monument Valley is a 4 hour flight from San Diego.
