Note the runway which was created by blowing up the top of two adjacent mountains and the valley in between being filled in with the rubble.     Crater Lake, Oregon. A short flight east of Las Vegas lies Grand Canyon West airport, an unattended up-sloping paved strip. A fun destination for customers as it is a short hop from Las Vegas and is adjacent to the canyon. We recommend parking up here as you can walk up to the edge--and watching the helicopters drop down into the Canyon is always fun.
